Our adventure begins with a 7:00 AM pickup from your hotel in Cusco. We’ll transfer to the archaeological site of Tambomachay, where our hike officially starts. Along the way, we’ll discover archaeological remains and wild crops like tarwi in the Ccauca ravine. From the higher passes, marvel at spectacular views of the snow-capped peaks of Veronica, Pitusiray, and Chicon, as well as the Piuray and Qoricocha lagoons. We’ll also visit an ancient Inca rock quarry (4220 m.a.s.l.), the source of stones for Huchuy Qosqo.
