Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel, followed by a transfer to the train station in Poroy (Cusco) or Ollantaytambo, depending on availability. Enjoy a scenic three-hour train journey to the historic sanctuary of Machu Picchu, also known as the Lost City of the Incas. Upon arrival at the Aguas Calientes station (at 2,000 m), you’ll board a bus for a 30-minute ascent along a winding road to the awe-inspiring Machu Picchu citadel. The tour includes a comprehensive guided exploration of the citadel, visiting iconic sites such as the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Dial, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the ancient cemeteries. Afterward, you’ll have free time to wander and soak in the majestic surroundings. Later, descend back to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included) and the option to visit the local hot springs.
