Your unforgettable Machu Picchu Day Trip from Cusco commences with an early morning transfer from your Cusco hotel, typically between 3:15 AM and 3:30 AM. You’ll embark on an approximately two-and-a-half-hour scenic drive through the breathtaking Sacred Valley of the Incas to Ollantaytambo (2792m / 9160ft).
Upon arrival, you’ll board a tourist train operated by either Peru Rail or Inca Rail to Aguas Calientes. This captivating two-hour train ride offers spectacular views of the Peruvian Andes, transitioning from snow-capped peaks to lush tropical cloud forests as you approach Aguas Calientes.
In Aguas Calientes, our representative will greet you and escort you to the bus terminal. From there, you’ll take a short 25-minute bus ride up the winding road to the majestic citadel of Machu Picchu.
At the security checkpoint, our tour guide will assist you with passport verification against your Machu Picchu entrance ticket.
