Start your day with an early breakfast at the hotel, followed by a transfer to the nearby train station in Ollantaytambo. Board the train for a scenic journey to the mysterious lost city of Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, you’ll transfer to a bus for a short 25-minute ride up to the citadel. Once at Machu Picchu, you will participate in a guided tour, exploring the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Dial (the most important preserved Intiwatana), the Royal Quarters, and the Temple of the Three Windows. Discover the ancient houses, warehouses, and the large central square, all interconnected by narrow roads and steps surrounded by terraces carved into the mountainside. After the tour, you’ll have free time to stroll around the archaeological site at your leisure.
